This is just a guidelines to achieve your ambition as a pilot particularly in Malaysia context. In achieving individual career a right advice needed. Of course a the requirement of particular job either physically or individual skills needed. Whether you want to take the skies over the weekends for recreational purposes or whether desire to be one of pilot as a profession. The information is only for guidance. It meant to all school leavers or those who have a great interest in the flying training.
Basically, as a pilot you will learn about yourself, the aircraft, weather, the flying environment and others. Currently about 15 flying clubs and only 4 approved flying schools in Malaysia. That’s mean they have their own aircraft, flight instructors and The cost of learning to fly varies between training organization, and it is also depends on the type of aircraft they use. The cost of flying also changes in response to fuel prices and inflation.
Approximately the course range from 120,000 MYR to 170,000.

It is the best method if candidates to contact a range of flying school to find out the latest costs and compare their prices to the facilities provided.

As, a school leavers you must be think how to get your self sponsor or where to get the fund to have your license. But if your parents can able to support the course then it should not be a problem. In Malaysia, KWSP or Employee Provident Fund allows to withdraw from account 2, or loan from conventional bank or else get in as Malaysia Airline Cadet. But of course you need to meet their requirement in terms of medical and also qualification from SPM level.

You may find that you are fine with your company, but feel bored with your current position. If that’s the case, you may want to try switching into a different role within the organization itself. This normally happens to employee who loves the benefits given by the company.

But, before you may opt to move, there are few things that you should consider:

How should you go about looking for these jobs?

What if you do not find anything you like?

How can you increase your chances of promotion?

What can you do now to get noticed by the right person?

What can you do get your boss job? (In case he/she is leaving)

After you have got grip to above answer, here are some of the things that you might want to practice:

Analyze Advertised Positions

Fill Our Application Forms Correctly

Keep Your Resume Updated, Short and Functional

Write a Brief Cover Letter

Follow Up with Phone Calls

Despite of these practice, there are few points that you should not do:

You Take a Job Description at Face Value

You Put All Your Eggs in One Basket

Whatever it is, if you feel that you need to change into new environment, the internal movement is the best step that you should take. Nevertheless, internal move is far more easier than external job changing.

Everyone is thinking that they should get the best salary out of their performance, but actually they do not realize other factors that should be considered before determining their actual salary. Most of us will say that the salary normally depends on the experience one have, their communication skills and their communication level.

Do you know that the salary is actually depends on how worth you are to your employer? Most of the questions that we should ask are for example:

How can you accurately determine the true value of what you have to offer to your employer?

How does your organization pay its employees?

Can you leverage the organization’s salary logic to your advantage?

What other leverage do you have as a key contributor within your organization?

There are few things that you should know though:

Aren’t salary structures a closely held secret?

If the company has a formal salary structure, doesn’t that limit my ability to negotiate a higher salary?

Will the organization always offer me a salary within the range that is assigned to my job?

Here are some tips of what you should do:

Gather your strength (assets) that you think your company relies on.

Look around for the ‘star’ employee and observe their strength.

Understand the organization’s salary structure.

Look for a better supervisor as your prospects are limited by the prospects of your boss.

Look for outside information & do not just depend on your organizations salary scale.

Prepare your own Job Description – be realistic.

In contrast, try to avoid this:

You are assuming that you are powerless.

You are taking things too personally.

You are overlooking non-financial compensation.

Your salary is normally depends in yourself and the organization you are currently work in. But do you really know that your salary is directly depends on below situation:

Whether you are well liked and trusted as a team player who is both productive and cooperative.

Whether you are an acknowledged performer among all the others who hold, or who have held, your job.

Whether you are hard to replace because you possess unique skills, talents, contacts, or reputation in your industry.

Whether you are successful whereby your track record is superior to those of your peers and colleagues.
